∞ Canon Update ∞
Canon updates can happen at any time once approved. In the world, they occur when a character passes through a diffusion zone. The character will lose time and receive visions and knowledge from an indecipherable source. Who is it? What is it? One thing's for sure: whatever they see, they understand, deep in their hearts, that it's real.
Physical changes are possible but not required. You can't pick and choose. Either they receive all physical changes from their new canon point or none.

∞ Third Character ∞
By default, each player has two character slots. A third slot can be obtained upon request by players who have demonstrated recent, consistent activity. Our decision will be made based on the following metrics:
- Activity Bonus: You've collected AC Bonus on both your current characters for 3 consecutive months. This must be recent. A gap of one or so months is fine, but if we feel that it's been too long since you last met this requirement (disregarding extenuating circumstances), we'll ask for more recent proof.
- Game Engagement: While you don't need to have submitted a plot request to us, we should be able to know what your characters have been up to in the game and what they did or went through during most events. You should have supporting threads for any plots you're doing.
- Varied CR: You thread with and have CR built with a spread of characters and players rather than just one or two individuals.
- Thread Completion: The occasional dropped thread is no problem, especially if the thread contains a substantial amount of tags. However, if you have a habit of frequently dropping multiple threads after only a few comments in, we may ask you to demonstrate better completion before we approve you for a third.
∞ Drop ∞
Dropped characters will vanish without explanation. You can choose to have their belongings and vehicle disappear into a diffusion zone or it can be left for other characters to salvage (or scavenge). The Diadem is a big place. It's not unusual for bodies to never be recovered.

Changes: I mean, he's dead, for one...if it's allowed, after passing thought he diffusion zone, he'll be pretty ripped to ribbons and his wounds will be fresh. But if not, all his wounds will be scars.
Notes: I'm putting this request in a little early and he won't actually shift canon points until after the event later in the month. Hope this is okay!

Requested Third Character: Shadowheart from Baldur's Gate 3
Summary of Plans: Shadowheart is a person with a huge amount of personal tragedy and darkness in her past, and a heaping of PTSD, and she hasn't been able to slow down long enough to acknowledge or cope with any of it. Since they've been in a quest to save the world, she hasn't had to deal, and I'd like to force her to address everything she has to move past or accept about herself. And to build a future without having someone to tell her what to do all the time, as she's always had a team leader or a zealot or a goddess doing that.
Also it's inherently funny to have an old school character have to play with cars and technology, and I look forward to that. She's prickly and not as friendly as my other two, so I'm hoping to dive in deep here.

Requested Third Character: Jack Townsend from Tales from the Gas Station
Summary of Plans: Jack's going to spend his first few months adamantly refusing to work at another gas station. Instead, he's going to try and scrape by doing what he's been doing for the last 2 years in canon: finding and solving supernatural problems. A case is going to lead him to a bizarre gas station he'll need to infiltrate, and we flash forward like 4 months to find him standing behind a cash register when it dawns on him like: well, fuck.
Shitposting aside, Jack's from an eldritch horror comedy canon perfectly matching the genre of the game. I plan to lean into that, get maximum weird, and coordinate with the mods about neat ways to mix his whole Cosmic Battery Full Of A Thousand Lifetimes Of Void Rift Energy Thing up with some plot stuff somehow.
Notes: The number of raccoons in game will increase exponentially if u let this happen.

Changes: Personality and physically pretty much the same, but I get to be extra annoying about introspective character beats about going it alone

Character Name: Mike Wheeler
Current Canon Point: 4x04, “Dear Billy”
New Canon Point: 5x04, “Sorcerer”, while thinking he’s about to become demogorgon chow
Changes: Mike is a year and a half older, making him sixteen now. He's physically a bit stronger now, after eighteen months of actually having to contribute to post-minor-apocalypse life. Due to this he can hold his own much better in a fight, but has also gained some basic proficiency with blunt weapons, and knows how to point and fire a gun. He's also shown the ability to build a rudimentary explosive device, which is presumably new. The last change is just that he thinks he's absolute toast back home, which will change some of the ways he interacts with the world and sap his desperate drive to get back home.
Notes: This is fully a bit between me and Hannah (2) for Mike and Eddie to think they're both dead and have a little Dead Dudes Club for awhile. I'll be putting in another one in a few weeks.

Character Name: Lucy MacLean
Current Canon Point: End of S1
New Canon Point: End of S2 (effective March 3rd, putting it here because I intend on using it for the new event!)
Changes: Pretty physically the same, except she's had drugs (specifically a steroid) injected into her, and she's only sort of just come off the effects of it. Just more traumatized, essentially! All of her new knowledge is about technology in her own world. She does now have some experience with hand-to-hand weaponry, if a giant gauntlet counts...
Notes: She's still just a girl.
