No word limit or word requirement. We'll judge on content, not length. Samples will also be considered with some weight. We're looking for:
Player Information
Player: Your name

Invitation OR characters played: Put who invited you (or write "TDM invite") or list who you're playing already if you're a current player
Are you over 18?: The Diadem contains dark themes. We'll warn appropriately for anything heavy, but please expect creepy or disturbing imagery, body horror (and other horror), some blood/violence/gore in descriptions and images, drug use, and similar across our game pages and events.
Character Information
Character: Character's name
Canon: Canon and canon point
Age: Note physical and actual age if applicable. We don't have a minimum age. As long as the character is suitable for the game's themes, we'll allow it. Please briefly justify their age if the character is especially young (under 14).
History: Link to a source or write it out if necessary
Possessions: Items they're arriving with. You don't need to list everything, but give us a brief idea + anything that might be unique.
Weapon: If eligible, characters get to bring or choose one weapon. See the FAQ for how bringing in a weapon works.
Powers/Abilities: For video games and stat-reliant characters, explain how you'll adapt those mechanics into a DWRP setting. For game-breaking or reality-breaking powers (long-distance flight, teleportation, etc.), describe how you plan to incorporate the high failure rate mentioned in the FAQ.
Application Questions
Who is the most important person in their life and why? What might be different if this person hadn't been around?
Describe a figure who's influenced your character heavily and how their absence could've changed things for your character.
Is there an event in your character's life that they'd do differently? How so and why?
If your character wouldn't change anything about their life, explain the reason for that.
What's the greatest challenge you foresee your character facing in the setting?
Describe something that your character will struggle with the most. Examples are adapting to the technology or being separated from their family.
What's the easiest thing you foresee your character adapting to in the setting?
Describe something that your character will have the easiest time with and how they might use this to their advantage.
Samples
Sample: Link to at least one sample no older than 3 years. Samples can be from anywhere, not just the TDM. Samples must contain a combined 10 log-style comments from you, including the top comment. Samples do not need to precisely match your character's canon point, but should mostly reflect your character's personality at that canon point. Inbox spam (TFLN, texting memes, game networks, etc.) will not be accepted.
- A firm grasp on how elements of your character's history have shaped their personality.
- A clear demonstration that you've thought about how they'll adapt to and play in the game's specific setting.
- Consistency between the application and your writing samples.
