thank you so much for your quick response! i am definitely thinking of a star wars character, so a blaster is what is on the table — and they're all pretty much of a similar design to what you described. star wars blasters are typically powered by power packs, which have a small electrical storage unit that allow you a limited number of shots; i think it would make total sense to say that it needs to be charged regularly! :)
