Could you elaborate on what weapons "don't fit" the setting?
In Eight's particular case, inkfish like him fight with ink he secretes from his own body, drained into a tank and fired from a variety of weapons. When fired at other squid-and-octopus kids it makes them explode like water balloons, buuuuut that's not a concern for anyone who isn't an inkfish. I would like to play with the ink's other qualities like being sticky and difficult to wade through or Eight's ability to rapidly swim up walls and across floors if he lays down a layer of ink on it, but I don't know if this is all too OP or too goofy for the setting.
I haven't decided what specific weapon I would want him to have, and I think the worst he could do to an opponent directly is spray them in the face and blind them, but that ink is so central to his skill-set I just wanted to check what the boundaries are before I started nailing things down. Thanks!
